Earl Bush (b. 1915 – d. 2006) served as press secretary for Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley from 1955 to 1973. He briefed the press, provided advice, and wrote speeches for the mayor. UIC Special Collections and University Archives holds approximately 6.5 feet of drafts of speeches, newspaper clippings and other material from Bush’s tenure.
